Welcome To
Cozy Counseling LLC

My name is Lee Isaac, Professional Counselor Associate

I'm a Professional Counselor Associate with a Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from George Fox University: Graduate School of Counseling.

I believe the therapeutic relationship is one of the most important parts of effective therapy. I believe an important aspect of this relationship is transparency and authenticity. If you're looking for a clinical doctor's office feeling counselor keep looking. I'm going to be real with you, genuine human to human conversations.

I'm empathetic, validating and I'm also direct and honest. From my experience with my past clients everyone I have worked with has appreciated this. I'm not fake, and I don't think I'm an expert on you. I use the same skills and tools that I teach and I'm always adding to my toolbox. I'm curious to get to know your unique story and help support and facilitate your healing journey toward self-discovery and empowerment. I will be doing my best to work myself out of a job and you into a place of confidence in your ability to adapt, navigate and cope with life's unexpected challenges. Of course, I'll always be there for you if you need a little extra support down the road.

I'm also excited to continue to learn and will be happy to do research if my knowledge on your particular situation would benefit from it. I will do my best to adapt to your specific needs in our therapeutic relationship. I will incorporate different evidence based methods when beneficial.

Individual Adult
Mental Health Counseling

I offer Individual mental health counseling to adults both in person and virtually.

I'm open to work with any age adults 18 - 100+.

In my past I have worked with a range of client's working through many different challenges and at all different ages and stages of life.

My typical modality is evidence-based and rooted in behavioral therapy such as DBT, CBT and ACT. I find these modalities to be quite useful and effective for most people.

For instance, DBT has four main skill categories we develop. Mindfulness or Awareness, Distress tolerance or frustration tolerance, Emotional regulation, and Interpersonal effectiveness or effective communication with others and effective social skills. Within each of these four main categories of skills are immense varieties of skills that are easy to learn and practice and significantly reduce the intensity, duration and frequency of symptoms typically worked on in therapy such as depression, anxiety, and anger. While these skills develop individuals will find their intensity, duration and frequency of emotions such as joy, happiness, peace of mind, and feelings of satisfaction with life increase. Confidence in their ability to navigate and cope with unexpected challenges in life will also increase.

Depending on the individual and topics we discuss in therapy, we may incorporate other modalities as well. I have a passion for this work and I'm always eager to learn more.
